Activities locally

  • The Malvern Hills stunning 13 miles string of hills for walking, cycling and offer fabulous views.
  • River Wye weave through the countryside, providing activities like canoeing or boat trips or a quiet place to picnic on their banks.
  • Forest Of Dean offers dozens of activities. From sculpture trails to downhill mountain bike tracks, climbing or family trails. There are visitor attractions like Clearwell caves, or steam railways and Puzzlewood made famous by Merlin TV series.

Local towns and villages

  • Ledbury with stunning black and white architecture and bygone alleys with one of the best independent high streets in the country packed with places to eat drink and shop in.
  • Upton-upon Severn as its name suggest sits by the river and has pubs and many music festivals to enjoy from blues to folk and pop.
  • Malvern straddles the hills Great Malvern has a stunning old priory and you can ascent the hills topping up your water bottle from one of the many springs and wells along the way.
  • Tewkesbury is famed for its  history and hosts a medieval festival with re-enactment battles.
  • Gloucester with its cathedral and cloisters famed in the Harry Potter series of films, as well as the old docks with a maritime museum.
  • Cheltenham offers regency grandeur and the home of the Gold cup and hosts a number of events throughout the year. Including the biggest literary festival, music, jazz and many more festivals.
